KYIV, Dec 28 – Ukraine’s ferocious and successful defense against the Russian aggression has helped the European Union to unite in the face of new challenges, President Volodymyr Zelensky said Wednesday.

"Over 10 months of this year, we have helped the West find itself again, return to the global stage and feel how the West prevails. Nobody in the West is afraid of Russia anymore and never will be. We helped Europe feel like not just a few championships with teams of different levels, but one strong team that, together with the entire free world, is fighting for victory. It was Ukraine that united the European Union," he said, speaking on Wednesday at the Verkhovna Rada with an address on the foundations of domestic and foreign policy.
