KYIV, Dec 22 - Due to the full-scale Russian invasion, wind power generation capacity in Ukraine has grown by only 71 MW instead of the projected 800-1,000 MW, Andriy Konechenkov, the chairman of the board of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA), said.
"The total installed capacity of the wind farm, which was completed this year, is 71 MW. We expect another 40 MW by the end of the year, but their commissioning is expected in January-February. In general, this year we expected plus 800-1,000 MW installed capacity," he said in a commentary to the Energy Reform portal on the sidelines of the final meeting of the Ukrainian Association of Renewable Energy in Kyiv.
