KYIV, Dec 1 – The U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. corporation Raytheon Technologies have signed a contract to manufacture six more National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS) for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the press service of the U.S. Defense Department reported.

As part of the fifth Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, the U.S. Raytheon Technologies was awarded a $1.2 billion contract to supply Ukraine with six NASAMS systems, training, and logistical support for the Ukrainian Armed and Security Forces, the Pentagon said in a statement.
