KIEV, Nov. 21 ??“ Parliament has adopted a law that foresees an increase in rent rates on oil, gas and gas condensate produced in Ukraine.

A total of 245 MPs voted for the law on Friday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

The rent rate for oil and gas condensate produced in Ukraine at fields of less than five kilometers will rise to UAH1,090 per ton, from UAH876.17 per ton, on Jan. 1, and at larger fields UAH404 per ton, up from UAH325 per ton. The rent rate for natural gas and oil gas produced at offshore fields will be UAH10 per thousand cubic meters, and at other fields it will be UAH50 per thousand cubic meters.
