KYIV, Oct 27 – The Israeli Smartshooter system for intercepting unmanned aerial vehicles has been transferred to Ukraine and has begun to be used by the Ukrainian side to intercept Iranian suicide drones, the Israeli magazine Debka, specializing in military intelligence, reports, citing its own sources in Ukraine.
"While disputes continue in Israel about whether to provide weapons and means of protection against suicide drones that Iran has provided to the Russian army fighting in Ukraine, and Defense Minister Benny Gantz said on Tuesday that there will be no Israeli arms supplies to Ukraine, the Israeli military system has appeared on the battlefield in Ukraine. Military sources in Ukraine reported on Wednesday, October 19, that the Ukrainian army installed the Israeli Smartshooter interception system on light aircraft and drones to intercept Iranian self-destructing drones," the report says.
