KYIV, Oct 20 – In connection with the latest Russian terrorist attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has included rolling blackouts throughout the country in the upcoming heating season in its macro forecast, but believes that the energy system will generally cope with its passage.
"Our baseline forecast relies on the assumption that the energy system, despite the losses that have already been incurred and the fact that its capacity is significantly lower than the pre-war norm, will be able to ensure an adequate passage of the winter season," NBU deputy governor Serhiy Nikolaychuk said at a press conference on Thursday.
