KYIV, Oct 20 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has upgraded its estimate of a decrease in GDP in 2022 to around 32% from 37.5% in the previous forecast, the press service of the regulator said on Thursday.
"Economic activity recovered gradually in Q2–Q3 2022 on the back of further liberation of Ukrainian territories, businesses adapting to new conditions, and opening the "grain corridor." The latter factor made a positive contribution to GDP compared to the July forecast.... the NBU upgraded its estimate of a decrease in GDP for this year only slightly, to around 32%," the NBU said.
