KYIV, Oct 11 – The European Commission is ready to provide the Verkhovna Rada with expert support and assistance in adapting legislation to EU requirements and standards, Deputy Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament Olena Kondratiuk said after a meeting with Georg Ziegler, Deputy Head of the Support Group for Ukraine in the European Commission on Tuesday in Brussels.

According to the press service of the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada, the parties discussed the implementation by Ukraine, as a candidate for EU membership, of the seven main recommendations of the European Commission and the process of adapting Ukrainian legislation to European directives and standards.
