KYIV, Oct 5 – The volume of purchases of foreign currency by the population of Ukraine in September exceeded the volume of its sale by $170 million compared to $106.9 million in August, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has reported.
According to information on the NBU website, the net purchase in September was formed mainly in the cash market – $149.3 million: compared to August, the purchase increased from $1.35 billion to $1.44 billion, while the sale increased from $1.18 billion up to $1.29 billion.
