KIEV, Nov. 16 - The EnergoAtom national nuclear power generating company will work to attract private investment in projects to improve safety at Ukrainian nuclear power plants and extend the exploitation life of reactors.
"We have plans to modernize all nuclear reactors to increase the level of safety. We have projects to extend the exploitation life of two nuclear reactors at Rivne. Those are international projects, we see them as investment projects. Our task is not to draw the money from the state, but to create [conditions] facilitating investment in the sector," EnergoAtom president Andriy Derkach told the press on Wednesday.
