KYIV, Sept 2 – A report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission, which has arrived at Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) occupied by the Russian forces, may have both political and economic consequences for Russia, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Utility Service Andriy Gerus has said.
"This report may have political consequences, when the whole world understands who is a terrorist state and who is ready to pose a threat to the safe operation of nuclear facilities. It may also have economic consequences. In my opinion, economic sanctions should be imposed against the Russian Federation, against Rosatom [...], which will also be a painful blow and make the Russian occupiers think about what they are doing," Gerus said on the air of the national telethon on Friday.
