KYIV, July 22 - Ukraine would like international financial institutions (IFI) to participate in the suspension of payment of its debt, announced by the partners within the G7 and the Paris Club of creditors, and is conducting appropriate discussions with the IFIs, Yuriy Butsa, the government commissioner for public debt issues, said.
"We also communicate with IFIs, but there may be purely legal approaches ... We are thinking in this direction," he said at a discussion of the monthly review of the economy of Ukraine during the war, organized by the Center for Economic Strategy on Thursday.
