KYIV, July 7 – President Volodymyr Zelensky, at a meeting with U.S. senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal in Kyiv on Thursday, sought support of the U.S. Congress for supplies of air defense systems to Ukraine.
Our priority task now is to ensure by September 1 that women with children can return home and children and students can attend schools and universities. We count on support of the Congress in the issue of supply modern air defense systems. We must ensure such a safe sky so that people are not afraid to live in Ukraine," reads a statement on the president's Telegram channel.
Zelensky also thanked the senators for the visit to Kyiv.
