KYIV, May 12 – Gazprom's statements about the technical impossibility of transferring transit from the Sokhranivka gas measuring station (GMS) to Sudzha are unfounded, Yuriy Vitrenko, head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

Russian forces recently seized a section of a gas pipeline that ships Russian gas to Europe and Ukraine has requested Gazprom to switch to another route that is controlled by Ukraine. Gazprom has refused, effectively jeopardizing European gas supplies.
