KYIV, May 9 – In April 2022, Ukraine exported 1.09 million tons of grain mainly through Romanian ports, which is more than five times higher than in March, but in the summer the country will face problems when exporting grain through Romania due to increased transshipment of this agricultural products from other countries in the region by the ports.
In April, we transported more than I expected – 1.09 million tons. This happened due to approaches: neither the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food nor the Ministry of Infrastructure had a desire to centralize, monopolize or otherwise complicate the grain market from Ukraine... Previously, we exported 5 million tons per month, mainly through our Black Sea ports.
