KYIV, April 1 – Ukraine will definitely win the war, but everything possible must be done to save as many lives as possible and minimize damage, Head of the President's Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak said.
"Today everyone understands that we will win. But it is important for us that we win and do everything possible to keep our people alive and healthy. So that the enemy does not destroy our cities even more, which happens every day," Yermak said, the press service of the President's Office reports.
According to him, Ukraine will continue to seek increased assistance, including for the supply of weapons, and this issue is under the constant personal control of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Yermak stressed that Zelensky and his team speak honestly and frankly with all partners of Ukraine, sincerely thank for the assistance provided, but also talk about what Ukraine needs.
"When I give interviews to American journalists, I communicate almost every day with National Security Adviser to the President of the United States Jake Sullivan, I say that we are very grateful to them. Indeed, President Biden knows Ukraine better than any U.S. president. And he did for Ukraine more than any other president. But that's not enough. And we're being honest about it. We're saying what we need," he said.
He is convinced that the victory of Ukraine in this struggle will be the victory of the entire democratic world, in particular the United States and President Biden personally. (om/ez)
