KYIV, March 22 - A meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and Russia will become possible when the draft "roadmap" is ready, which they can discuss, Mykhailo Podoliak, the adviser to the head of the President's Office of Ukraine, wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
"When the working groups, as part of the negotiation process, develop some preliminary documents and they are handed over to the presidents, they will assess whether this is already a roadmap that can be discussed tête-à-tête. Then this meeting can be," he wrote.
At the same time, in his opinion, "any fundamental decisions can be made only at a meeting of the presidents of the two countries."
"Therefore, of course, such a meeting is key for peace. It is being prepared and will be prepared, we have relations with our partners who want to organize this meeting, many countries that are interested in the hot phase of the war to end," Podoliak also wrote.
He noted that "the negotiations are constantly taking place online, there are many advisory groups that are involved in this process."
He expressed the opinion that "the volume of analytics that they (the Russians) had on the eve of the war shows a very weak position regarding the understanding of the modern world and Ukraine in particular." (om/ez)
