KYIV, March 21 - Ukraine will continue to service the public debt, despite the war, Yuriy Butsa, the commissioner for public debt management, said and called on businesses to break economic ties with Russia.
"Even in these extreme conditions, Ukraine is fully prepared to service its debt in both national and hard currency," he said in a conversation with International Financing Review.
Butsa noted that Ukraine on March 1 paid $292 million in coupons due in September 2022 as a sign of the government's promise to fulfill its obligations.
