KYIV, March 9 - Ukraine’s decommissioned Chornobyl NPP was forced to start emergency diesel power generator after power supplies to the facility had been suddenly cut off, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said Wednesday.

The power supplies are essential for cooling spent nuclear fuel storage facility located on the site of Chornobyl, and failure to do so may result in major radioactive leak, he said.
