KYIV, Feb 10 - Ukraine is expected to import 700,000mt of coal that will be delivered by eight ships within the next two months, Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said Thursday.
Ukraine has imported about 1.3 million mt of coal by 15 ships between the end of November 2021 and the end of January as the government has been seeking to resolve shortage of coal domestically.
“We are continuing to build up coal inventory on power generating and heat producing plants,” Halushchenko said in a statement. “As of today, there are 841,000mt of coal in the reserves.”
