KYIV, Feb 7 – Ukraine last year received a record $716 million in export earnings from the sale of 459,000 tons of chicken meat, which is 29% higher than in 2020, while total revenue from the export of meat and offal increased by 30%, to $846 million.

As reported on the website of the Institute of Agrarian Economics (IAE) on Monday, domestic meat products are currently exported to the countries of the Middle East, other parts of Asia, the European Union, the CIS and Africa. Its main buyers in 2021 were Saudi Arabia with $190 million (22.5%), the Netherlands with $136 million (16.1%), China with $51.5 million (7.2%), the UAE and Slovakia with $40 million each (4.7%), Azerbaijan with $33 million (3.9%), Belarus with $31 million (3.6%) and Kazakhstan with $30 million (3.5%).
