KYIV, Feb 7 – From late November 2021, the tenth vessel with imported coal contracted by DTEK has arrived in Ukraine, the company said in its press service on Monday.
According to it, a Panamax-class vessel has moored in the TIS port, some 45,000 tons of coal from Colombia will replenish the warehouses of DTEK Energy's thermal power plant (TPP) in the coming days.
"Over the past five months, the company has imported about 1.2 million tons of fuel. The import of coal, in addition to our own production, allows our TPPS to operate at maximum load during peak periods of electricity consumption. Due to it, coal reserves in the DTEK Energy's TPPs warehouses almost doubled, from 275,000 tons as of December 31, 2021 to 517,000 tons as of February 7," CEO of DTEK Energy Ildar Saleev said.
