MOSCOW, Oct. 31 ??“ Comstar-United TeleSystems, a fast-growing Russian telecommunications company, said it paid $4.7 million to acquire two small Ukrainian telecom operators setting a foothold on Ukraine??™s lucrative Internet broadband access market.

The Russian company acquired DG Tel and Technologic Systems, as both have strong presence in Kiev, and plans to integrate them to create a major provider of Internet access and phone services.
