KYIV, Jan 31 – National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom and U.S. Westinghouse have started a program to switch nuclear power units to 18-month fuel campaigns, Acting President of Energoatom Petro Kotin has said.

"Together with our strategic partner, Westinghouse Electric, we have launched a program to transfer nuclear power units to 18-month fuel campaigns. This option will significantly improve the Nominal Installed Capacity Utilization Factor (ICUF)," Kotin wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday.
