KYIV, Jan 26 – Ukraine plans to cooperate with Electricite de France SA (EDF) in the construction of new blocks of nuclear power plants (NPP) in the country, deputy head of the President's Office Rostyslav Shurma said following talks with a French delegation in Kyiv.

"The matter concerns the construction of new power units. Of course, these units will be independent of the Russian Federation both in terms of fuel and technology. We had talks about mobile nuclear reactors, there were talks about fuel storage technologies," he said on the air of the Rada TV channel.
