KYIV, Jan 25 – Total expenditures on physical assets needed by Ukraine to achieve climate neutrality under the Net Zero 2050 scenario will amount to more than 15% of total GDP in the period of 2021-2050.
Such an assessment is contained in a new report by the McKinsey Global Institute, the research division of the McKinsey consulting company.
According to the document, total capital expenditures on physical assets for the purpose of global decarbonization will amount to $275 trillion, or 7.5% of accumulated world GDP by 2050.
