KYIV, Jan 21 – National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom expects that the first casks with spent nuclear fuel will be delivered to the Central Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility (CSFSF) in the third decade of April this year.

According to a report of Energoatom on its website on Friday, these are three casks from Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP.

"Currently, cold testing is being carried out at the CSSNF, the assessment and documents of the facility are being considered by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate for the issuance of the necessary permits," Energoatom said in the press release.
