KYIV, Jan 20 – Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has confirmed that the United States will allocate $200 million in additional security assistance to Ukraine in 2021.
"Today, I can also confirm that the [Joe] Biden administration recently approved $200 million in additional security assistance to Ukraine. This brings the total amount of U.S. security and defense assistance to our nation to $650 million in 2021, more than any year since 2014," Kuleba said Thursday.
The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry drew attention to the fact that these $200 million were not foreseen in advance. "This is fast defense assistance from the United States," Kuleba said.
