KYIV, Jan 20 – The law On the Fundamentals of National Resistance makes it possible to deploy the Territorial Defense Forces in a simplified mode and thereby prevent open aggression by the enemy, Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces Yuriy Halushkin said.

"The law On the Fundamentals of National Resistance provides for the creation of a separate branch of forces, an increase in the Armed Forces of Ukraine by 10,000 military personnel. In peacetime, we will have about 150 battalions and 25 brigades of 10,000 people. Each of the battalions will have up to 50 people, and in each brigade - from 90 to 120 people - a total of 10,000 personnel, on which I will rely. These are separate military units that can organize the training of the population, the storage of weapons and ammunition. We are deploying quickly to a very serious scale," Halushkin said in an interview with the Army Inform agency.
