KYIV, Jan 19 – The withdrawal of nonresidents from Ukrainian securities is unlikely to affect macroeconomic indicators in January-March, but it will have an impact on the fiscal sector and will have an impact in the longer term, analysts said.
"These new circumstances will most noticeably affect the fiscal sector. Investors' appetite for Ukrainian debt, both in hryvnia and in foreign currency, has fallen sharply over the past two weeks. So uninterrupted financing of the budget deficit will be complicated, at least during the first half of 2022," Head of ICU Macroeconomic Research Vitaliy Vavryschuk said in a commentary to the agency.
