KYIV, Dec 28 – Ukraine’s economy is likely to grow 3.6% on the year in 2022, not 3.8% expected initially, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko said.
"This is mainly due to new challenges because of the continuation of coronavirus restrictions. The ministry expected the restrictions on the economy to be lifted earlier, but the identification of new cases and the next waves of COVID-19 suggest that enterprises may need more time to adapt to new conditions," she explained.
According to her, the inflation forecast remains unchanged. The minister recalled that the National Bank of Ukraine has already taken a number of measures to return inflation to acceptable levels.
