KYIV, Dec 24 – Ukrainian agriculture businesses asked the government to provide a commodity loan for the purchases of natural gas to help increase production of mineral fertilizers, Petro Melnyk, President of the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UCAB), said.

Melnyk, who also co-owns Agricom Group, said the government has first rejected the idea, but the issue must be considered again, he argued.
