KYIV, Dec 22 - Alfa Bank (Kyiv) expects real GDP growth in Ukraine in 2022 by 3.4% after its projected growth of 3% over 2021 and a slowdown in the average annual inflation in 2022 to 8.6%, which is 0. 8 percentage points below the expected average annual inflation rate in 2021 (9.4%).
According to the bank's macroeconomic forecast, obtained by the Interfax-Ukraine agency, Alfa Bank analysts expect that investment growth rates for the current year will remain weaker than expected, in 2021 the share of investment in GDP will remain at 13%, which is one of the lowest rates in the history of Ukraine. Weak investment activity remains one of the key challenges for economic growth.
