KYIV, Dec 23 - Ukraine’s largest private energy company DTEK will go ahead and increase imports of coal from the U.S. as the level of the country’s coal reserves remain critical, the company reported Thursday.
DTEK has increased its coal import target to 620,000mt, up from 450,000mt planned originally, and the imports will persist into January 2022, the company said. At least 200,000mt of this coal has been delivered in December by large Panamax-type vessels.
