KYIV, Dec 17 – ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (Dnipropetrovsk region) has started construction of a new oxygen unit (air separation unit) together with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. with the attraction of a long-term loan of $81 million from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
According to the corporate newspaper Metalurg on Thursday, on December 15, in Kryvy Rih, construction of the air separation unit started, which will be one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly in Ukraine. It will produce industrial oxygen, nitrogen and argon for both the enterprise's blast furnaces and converters and for other customers, and will be called Kryvyi Rih Industrial Gas.
