KYIV, Dec 15 – The ICU Group has downgraded its forecast for Ukraine's GDP growth in 2021 to 2.9% from 5.2% in the spring forecast, Head of ICU Macroeconomic Research Vitaliy Vavryschuk has said.
"The economy slowed down significantly in the second half of the year. Therefore, economic growth at the end of the year will be significantly lower than forecasts for the beginning of the year. According to ICU estimates, in 2021 Ukraine's GDP will grow by 2.9%," Vavryschuk said during the presentation of the group's macroeconomic forecast on Wednesday in Kyiv.
