KYIV, Dec 13 – The Ukrainian-Turkish plant being built in Vasylkiv, Kyiv region, will manufacture ANKA-type jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), the next generation of drones after Bayraktar, speaker of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas settlement (TCG) Oleksiy Arestovych said in an interview with Radio Liberty on Saturday.
"The plant to produce Ukrainian-Turkish drones is being built in Vasylkiv. This will include ANKA, heavy-lift drones. In particular, prospective Ukrainian drones," Arestovych said. "Specifically, this could include jet-powered drones, which are interceptors. In other words, they are capable of counteracting against airborne objects, against other drones. Even against piloted aviation. They will be equipped with Ukrainian-made engines and Turkish avionics: fuselage and so on and so forth," he said.
