KYIV, Dec 10 – The Ukrainian Association of Secondary Metals (UAVtormet) predicts a reduction in collection of ferrous scrap and the emergence of its shortage in the Ukrainian market after an increase in the export duty from EUR 58 to EUR 180 per ton.
According to the official statement of President of UAVtormet Volodymyr Bubley, published on the association's page on Thursday, December 9, the law of Ukraine amending the law of Ukraine on the state budget for 2021 came into force, in which the export duty on scrap metal was increased to EUR 180 per ton.
