KYIV, Dec 6 – Metinvest, Ukraine’s largest steel producer, increased exports by 83% year-over-year, to $10.1 billion, in January-September, which is 74% of the total consolidated revenue, the company reported.
According to interim unaudited financial statements for January-September 2021 published by the company last week, during the reporting period, group revenues in Ukraine climbed by 63% year-over-year to $3.5 billion. This was mainly because of higher average selling prices of steel and iron ore products, as well as stronger sales volumes of long products, which rose by 7%. Meanwhile, the share of Ukraine in consolidated revenues edged down by 2 percentage points (pp) to 26%.
