KYIV, Nov 26 – Naftogaz Ukrayiny, Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) and Ukrtransgaz, acting as the operator of underground gas storage (UGS) facilities in Ukraine, have joined the implementation of the H2EU + Store international project for the production of green hydrogen in Western Ukraine with its subsequent export by gas pipelines to the countries of the European Union (EU), the press service of Naftogaz reported on Friday.

The signing of the memorandum took place on November 25 in Lviv.

On the European side, the document was signed by representatives of GTS and UGS operators – RAG Austria AG, Gas Connect Austria GmbH, Bayernets GmbH, Bayerngas GmbH, Eustream, Nafta, Open Grid Europe GmbH. In addition, from the Ukrainian side, the memorandum was also signed by energy company Eco-Optima LLC.
