KYIV, Nov 24 – The International Monetary Fund has demanded Ukraine to appoint a special anti-corruption prosecutor by the end of November to fight corruption, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev said.
The demand is part of the IMF’s decision earlier this week to disburse $700 million installment to Ukraine and to extend the stand-by program until June 2022 in exchange for the government’s promises of accelerating reforms.
