KYIV, Nov 22 - Energoatom and Holtec are completing cold tests of the centralized storage facility for spent nuclear fuel, after which it is planned to load real fuel in it at the beginning of next year, acting President of Energoatom Petro Kotin has said.

"Now the last runs are underway to reload the fuel models from the NPP power units at the storage facility. By the end of the year, cold tests will be completed, and at the beginning of the next we will start shipping fuel. It will go from Rivne NPP," Kotin said at a briefing during the international conference for the development of atomic opportunities in Kyiv.
