KYIV, Nov 19 - Domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers face rising electricity prices, but they are still ready to keep prices down, despite the growth in production costs.
"Since August 2021, there has been a rapid increase in the cost of electricity - by about 30% compared to the tariffs set at the beginning of 2021. The price of gas has been growing since the beginning of 2021, it is now 50% higher than last year's cost. And, constantly growing, it reached its peak in September, when the tariff was five times higher than last year. As of mid-November, Farmak had not received information about restrictions or shortages of energy resources as such," the operational director of Farmak, Pavlo Pavlik, told Interfax-Ukraine.
