KYIV, Nov 11 - The Ukrainian Grain Association (UGA) expects an increase in annual exports of grains, legumes and oilseeds from Ukraine for a four-year period, including 2022-2026 marketing years (MY, July-June), to 83.63 million tons with their annual production at the level of 118 million tons, UGZA President Mykola Horbachev said at an online press conference.
He clarified that the UGA makes crop forecasts using the method of comparing data for 2002-2021 for the production and export of major crops in the form of grouped blocks, in which the average values for four years are presented. This technique was invented six years ago and has shown its effectiveness in assessing the harvest and its export volumes for 2018-2022 MY.
