KYIV, Nov 3 – Centerenergo is ready to work in the current autumn-winter period on gas in case of a lack of coal to ensure the stable operation of the power system of Ukraine, Denys Kudin, First Deputy Head of the State Property Fund, Head of the Generating Company's Supervisory Board, has said.
"In January-February of this year, there were difficulties in the power system and Centrenergo saved the system. We switched to work from coal, which was not available, to gas, and thanks to this we generated enough electricity to maintain stable power in the system during peak loads. We are ready to do the same now, if necessary," Kudin said in an interview with Energy Reform.
