PRAGUE, Oct. 24 - Central and Eastern European countries play a negative role in politicizing energy supply negotiations between the European Union and Russia, Artem Malgin, advisor to the Rector of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, told a Prague energy forum Monday.

"These are countries that cannot bring new strategic energy suppliers to Europe," Malgin said. "So their high involvement in the energy supply debate is negative."
