KYIV, Oct 8 – Ukrzaliznytsia by the end of 2021 expects to receive a draft report with recommendations on the modernization of passenger transportation and a model for organizing financing of publicly important rail transportation from Deutsche Bahn DB Engineering & Consulting.

"We want to help Ukrzaliznytsia buy exactly the right product, which will not only look good, but it can also be used, it will be of high quality and will be profitable for the next 30-40 and possibly more years. We have been working here for only three to four weeks. This topic is still new for us. Therefore, according to the current, already announced tender, we can only help with the technical specification. For future tenders, we will help and develop a tender methodology and purchase the right products for Ukrzaliznytsia," Director for Business Consulting at DB Engineering & Consulting Dirk Slodzinski said during a conversation with journalists on Friday.
