KYIV, Oct 11 – Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant is shutting down five furnaces due to a decrease in demand for ferroalloys and another jump in electricity tariffs since the beginning of October this year.

According to the information of the Ukrainian Association of Ferroalloy Producers with reference to the corporate publication of NFP, furnaces Nos. 15, 16, 17 and 8 in the ferroalloy production shop have been stopped at the plant, and after repair furnace No. 6 will also be shut down. In total, five furnaces will be taken out of operation.
