KIEV, Oct. 23 - Mittal Steel mulls acquiring hardware plants in Ukraine with a view to overhauling them and making competitive products, Frank Pannier, a spokesman at Mittal Steel Kriviy Rih, said.

Pannier said offers had been received to buy several Ukrainian hardware factories. "We'll decide on this in 2007," Pannier told Interfax.
