KYIV, Oct 7 – Ukraine has launched the first project to build facilities for production of green hydrogen, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.

"Ukraine has already made the first steps. Business has already reacted and there is already a first contract for hydrogen production. Such a project is already under construction," the Prime Minister stated during the Kyiv International Forum on Thursday.

Shmyhal did not give any other details.

According to him, the development of hydrogen projects will become a state strategy along with the development of other alternative energy sources.
